What, Why, How & Is it...?

Header
Well the 1st issue created a tremendous amount of interest and a few questions too. I want to get on with the business of sharing the articles, tips and advice with you (the first one is scheduled for next week). Meanwhile, there have been a couple of important questions and I'll answer those below:

Q What advice will you pass on, what's your background?

The Infomails will contain business tips and advice specifically for mobile DJs. I have been running my own Company for the last 19 years and have been a mobile DJ for even longer. I have made a few mistakes along the way, some expensive, and learnt from them.

I have written numerous articles for specialist trade magazines. I don't, and never have, claimed to be the best mobile DJ in the Country (there's always room for improvement). I do however run a full time & successful mobile DJ business.

Over the last few years I have changed the way I operate and I pass on the information for you to make use of if you wish. Some of it may not apply to you but it's provided for you to take or leave as you want.

If you don't think it will be of benefit to you hit the 'Unsubscribe' button on the left, enter your email address and you will be immediately removed from this mailing list. Conversely if you have found this page on the web and want to join as a subscriber click the one below it.

Q. Why is this PLI so much cheaper than any other out there. Is it worth the paper it's written on?

The PLI is provided as part of the membership of The Alliance of Mobile & Party DJs. The policy has been negotiated with Hencilla-Canworth, the leading broker for policies of this kind and they provide comparable insurance policies for other entertainment entities.

This policy, created specifically for Mobile DJs, is underwritten by Royal & Sun Alliance (RSA) the UKs largest commercial insurer and a FTSE 100 company.

It is cheaper for the following reasons:

  • We've negotiated a great deal with the Insurance Company for our members
  • We have choosen to pass on this great deal to our members and not add a disproportionate mark-up to the membership
  • Our specifically designed system to manage members requires only a small amount of human resource - keeping costs down
  • We believe all Mobile DJs should have PLI. Membership has been priced at a level which makes this possible

Q. Is this low price just to get people in?

No! The 1st years' price has been set and, if we can negotiate the same great deal for next year, it will remain at this price.

The Alliance of Mobile & Party DJs - £10m PLI for £49.99 - why pay more for less?
